16 JUNE 2024 – The 24 Hours of Le Mans not only represents one of the most important events in the world of motorsport, but also a huge logistical and technical challenge. In June 2024, MTS was once again part of this event for the fifteenth consecutive year, working closely with GoodYear to ensure technical support for one of the most demanding competitions of the year.
15 Days of Intense Work
The MTS team spent more than two weeks preparing, setting up, servicing during the race and dismantling once the event was over. This effort included travel, pre-race testing and the race itself, held between the 15th and the 16th of June.
More than 15 MTS staff, including fitters and coordinators, worked alongside the GoodYear team to prepare and fit thousands of tires used in the GT and LMP2 categories of the World Endurance Championship (WEC). Their main objective was to ensure that each tire was ready to meet the demands of this historic race.
The team once again demonstrated its ability to work under pressure.
Technical and Logistical Challenge
Le Mans is a unique event, with vehicles competing in the Hypercar, LMP2 and GT categories. Each presents specific challenges, and tire preparation is essential to ensure performance and safety during the 24-hour race.
The La Sarthe circuit, more than 13 kilometers long, combining road and permanent track sections, puts every technical component to the test and demands a maximum level of precision from the support teams.
The Satisfaction of a Job Well Done
For the MTS team, satisfaction comes not only from overcoming technical challenges, but also from being part of something much bigger.
The collaboration with GoodYear reflected our commitment to excellence, ensuring that the workflow was efficient from start to finish of the event.
We are looking forward to many more challenging and successful races!
